На 27 и 28 юли, в Скинхаус Хелзинки се проведе един от най-големите концерти във Финландия, а именно фестивалът по случай 30 години Mistreat. Най-популярната финландска банда е може би единствената в нашите среди, която няма прекъсвания през тези три десетилетия, a стотиците им фенове имаха възможността да ги слушат на живо две поредни вечери.
Как протече всичко?
За първата вечер по програма бяха предвидени само финландски банди, включително и Mistreat с оригиналния си състав от 1988 година, за съжаление, както вече писахме в предишната статия, две седмици преди концерта беше обявено, че оригиналният състав няма да излезе на сцената, но за сметка на това, организаторите се реваншираха с други изненади.
В късния следобед на 27 юли фестивалът беше открит от финландската RAC банда Pylvänäinen, а веднага след тях дойде и първата изненада за вечерта - Civic Duty, група, която не беше анонсирана във флаера. Последваха изпълнения на Pagan Skull и небезизвестните Sniper, а след тях на сцената се качиха и Vapaudenristi. Трябва да признаем, че повечето от изброените не ни бяха познати предварително, но в крайна сметка останахме приятно изненадани от изпълненията им.
Кулминацията на вечерта беше, когато Mistreat и приятели се появиха на сцената и изпълниха някои от най-големите си хитове, както на собствените си групи, така и на Mistreat. На сцената забелязахме изпълнители от PWA, Code 291, Wrongdoers, Aryan Rebels, Hate Crime и др. Това беше и завършекът на една невероятна вечер, а основното тепърва предстоеше.
В събота по обяд, голяма част от гостите от чужбина, под водачеството на вокалиста на Mistreat - Муке, се събрахме в центъра на Хелзинки за историческа обиколка на града и съседните островчета (Суоменлина/Suomenlinna). След дълга разходка, в приятелска атмосфера, с много интересни истории и забавления, с другарите от различни страни се отправихме към концерта.
И тази вечер мероприятието беше на същото място - Скинхаус Хелзинки. Тук трябва да отбележим, че Финландия може би е на първо място в Европа по бройката на т.нар. скинхаусове (частни скинхед клубове), в повечето големи градове има по един такъв, а ние лично успяхме да посетим още един от тях - Скинхаус Котка.
Помещението представлява голяма зала със сцена, бар, склад, втори етаж (ложа) и голям двор. Дворът беше покрит със големи шатри, а под тях имаше няколко маси за мърчандайз, от които всеки можеше да си закупи различни артикули. Дискове и плочи, тениски, суитчери, знамена, значки и др. в подкрепа на белите националисти от цял свят. Но нека да погледнем към сцената.
Първият изпълнител за вечерта беше известният баладен музикант от Германия - Барни, който подготвя втория си албум (сплит с популярна немска банда). За наше щастие, имахме възможност да чуем демо версия в колата, на път за концерта. Немският трубадур изпълни доста легендарни песни на немски, английски и шведски, а не след дълго, до него на сцената се качи и Муке от Mistreat. Когато рок баладите приключиха, дойде ред и на същинския концерт.
На сцената се качиха Genocide Wolves, последвани от White Minority и Marder, финландски групи с доста песни на английски, с цел по-широко разпространение на посланието. Ето, че дойде ред и на Mistreat, финландските легенди взривиха публиката с едни от най-големите си хитове, както и някои песни от прясно издаденият им албум - "Heartless Bastards" (Безсърдечни копелета). Тук ще вметнем, че сет листът, както и албумът им са изцяло на английски език.
Макар и да минаваше полунощ, след участието на топ бандата, на всички ни беше рано да се прибираме вкъщи, а и знаехме, че предстоят още две също не малко популярни групи. PWA (Preserve White Aryans), естонските ракабили легенди продължиха да поддържат заряда на концерта с техните ексцентрични изпълнения на сцената, така както го правят от 30 години насам.
За завършек на вечерта и фестивала бяха избрани Code 291, новата шведска банда с добре познати лица от миналото, която вече подготвя своя втори албум. Въпреки, че е изминала само една година от създаването им, те бързо набраха голяма популярност и трудно слезнаха от сцената след множество бисове и аплодисменти.
В крайна сметка, в малките часове на нощта дойде време за раздяла с другарите от Финландия, Швеция, Естония, Русия, Полша, Германия, Австрия, Холандия, Швейцария, Франция, Англия, Америка и др. Едно невероятно и заслужено събитие за легендарна група, организирано от Кръв и чест Финландия и Хамърскинс Финландия.

Mistreat 30th Anniversary Gig: Review
On the weekend Saturday and Sunday, the 27th and 28th of July, one of the biggest gigs Finland ever organized took place in Skinhouse Helsinki - the festival we spoke about in our previous article. Mistreat, the most famous Finnish band, is maybe the only one in our scene that has been continuously playing for the past three decades, and this event gave chance to their hundreds of fans see them live for two nights in a row. So how did it all go?
According to schedule, on the first night, people were able to see only Finnish bands, including Mistreat with its original line-up from 1988. But as we already mentioned before, the organizers announced that it will be impossible for the band to play in its former line-up. However, they decided to compensate for this situation with a nice surprise.
In the late afternoon on the 27th of July, the concert was opened by the Finnish RAC band Pylvänäinen. Right after them, we had our first surprise for the night - Civic Duty - a band that was not announced on the official concert flyer. Later that night, we also saw Pagan Skull and the famous Sniper. Then, the stage was taken by Vapaudenristi. We must admit that we were not familiar with some of these bands, but we were pleasantly surprised by their great performances.
The culmination of the night was the performance of Mistreat and friends. The legends showed up on the stage, accompanied with musicians from other bands, and played most of Mistreat’s biggest hits as well as original songs from the rest of the guys. Among the friends were band members of PWA, Code 291, Wrongdoers, Aryan Rebels, Hate Crime, and many more. That was the end of a great night and yet the very best was just about to happen.
The next day around noon, together most of the guests from abroad and under the guidance of the vocalist of Mistreat - Muke, we went in the center of Helsinki for a historical tour around the city and its neighboring islands (Suomenlinna). After a long walk, in a good and friendly atmosphere, with lots of fun and interesting stories, we all headed to the place where the gig was hosted.
The location was the same as before - the Skinhouse in Helsinki. Here we must mention that Finland is among the top countries in Europe for most skinhouses in the country! There are private skinhead clubs in almost all big cities. We actually got to see more than one of those - we went to the Skinhouse in Kotka.
The Skinhouse Helsinki is a spacious club with a big hall plus a stage, bar area, storage space, second floor (lounge) and a big yard. The outdoor area is covered with canopies, and under each one of them, there were tables for merchandise where guests could purchase their favorite music albums (both CDs and vinyl records), T-shirts, sweatshirts, flags, pins, and more. But let us have a look at what is happening on the stage.
The first performer for the night was the famous German ballad singer - Barny, who is now preparing his second album (split with another popular German band). Fortunately, we had the opportunity to hear the demo version before the official release in our car on the way to the gig. Barny sang a lot of famous songs some of which were in German, English, and Swedish. Right after him we saw Muke from Mistreat. When the rock ballads were over, it was time for the bands.
First were Genocide Wolves, followed by White Minority and Marder - all Finnish bands with lots of songs in English so they can reach out to a bigger audience. Eventually it was time for the Finnish legends. Mistreat blew the audience away by playing their biggest hits as well as songs from their recent album - “Heartless Bastards”. As with the previous bands, the entire setlist and all the songs in it are in English.
Although it was already midnight by the time Mistreat played their last song, we all felt that is pretty early to head home. There were two more bands for the night. PWA (Preserve White Aryans), the Estonian racabilly legends, kept entertaining the audience with their eccentric performance, as they always do for over three decades now.
As an end that night, we were able to see Code 291, the newly formed Swedish band with well-known faces from the past, that is already working on its second album. Even though it is been only one year since their formation, Code 291 quickly gained popularity among the guys in our scene. That night the band had a hard time stepping out from the stage due to the plenty of song requests from the crowd and its cheerful applause.
The party continued and went on into the small hours of the night. That was the time when we had to say goodbye to our friends from Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Russia, Poland, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Switzerland, France, England and America. It was an amazing and well-deserved celebration for the 30-year stage anniversary of the Finnish legends, organized by both Blood and Honour Finland and by Hammerskins Finland.
We wanted to take a moment here to thank Muke and Jose from Mistreat for their hospitality, the Finnish sauna, and everything they did for us to make our stay in the country pleasant over that weekend.
